Torre Guaceto Nature Reserve

The Torre Guaceto Nature Reserve is located along the Adriatic coast of Salento and is 37 km from Petranima. Between the city of Brindisi and the towns of Carovigno and San Vito dei Normanni, it covers an area of about 1000 hectares and is considered a unique oasis, a meeting point between land and sea. Here you can admire the Mediterranean scrub and a coastal area characterized by sandy dunes and crystal clear water. There are many events that every year are organized in the reserve, dedicated to nature and animals.

In addition to relaxing in the unspoilt nature, swimming in the crystal clear waters of the Reserve, in this area you can visit many sites of historical and cultural interest: the archaeological site of Santa Sabina, home to the post office where numerous archaeological finds were found, and the Visitor Center at the Gawsit, an exhibition center where a botanical garden and a room with aquariums have been reproduced.
