Alcova

Sleeping in a trullo means living an authentic experience… At the origins of Petranima, the Alcova suite was joined to the Diamante suite: the small corridor, dominated by the low arched ceiling was once a storage room for wine. The rooms were separated by curtains, which were the only ornaments that gave them privacy. Alcova recovers the memories of rural homes in Apulia, restoring value to the pure feelings and beauty of being together. The trulli, in fact, were the typical dwelling of the peasants, also called ‘cozzari’, who exploited these structures not only to sleep but also to keep their tools. Due to their thickness and to the construction material, the trulli are known for their thermal balance: in summer the limestone that constitutes them tends to preserve the freshness it produces, while in winter the thickness of its walls retains the inner heat, thus giving relief to its guests throughout the year.

Alcova, the largest of all suites, consists of 2 bedrooms, bathroom with bathtub and shower and corridor. It extends for 42 m² inside characteristic trulli and completely renovated. Immerse yourself in the peace of this suite designed by Petranima: sleeping in a trullo has never been so magical!
